All the Counter-Strike games pit a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in rounds of competition won by completing an objective or eliminating the opposing team. Day of Defeat was the original WW2 online shooter. Like Counter-Strike it took gaming to a different level implementing classes and control points into the mix. It used to be Half-Life modification which raised to a competitive stand alone game.
