Despite winning IG5 LAN in mid-February and achieving a strong 4th place finish at i33, Reason Gaming has announced that their Counter-Strike: Source team is to disband with immediate effect. The split has been put down to a lack of motivation combined with "tempting offers" from rival teams.
The line-up managed to win IG5 LAN regardless of Birmingham Salvo and London Mint’s presence. They edged out Birmingham Salvo in the upper bracket final before moving on to play London Mint in the grand final, defeating them 16 – 2. However, the two CGS teams had chance to exact their revenge on Reason at i33, defeating them 16 – 14 twice to send them home in 4th place.
In an official news post on the Reason Gaming website, General Manager Ben Dalloway clarified the reasons behind the departure:
"After a hugely successful IG5 event the players were unhappy with 4th place at i33 and in the following weeks this lead to a decline in motivation. While usually issues such as this could be resolved, it was timed with the fact that some of the squad were each receiving very tempting offers from rival teams, which with contracts about to expire were too tempting to decline.
Many thanks to Henrik, Chris, Dan, Jimmy and of course Simen for all the hard work they have done while at Reason Gaming. We wish the guys the best of luck with their new plans."
Additionally, Simen "warclown" Aas Henriksen, former member of Reason Gaming, released a statement of his own:
"I would like to thank everyone for their support along the way, it has been one hell of a ride. Special thanks go out to our sponsors and of course our management who have been there for us; gaming matters or personal matters. A really good support system and I have nothing but good things to say about this organisation."
Ben Dalloway also confirmed that Reason Gaming will be looking to pick up a new team "when the time is right".
cZar Gaming wishes the best luck to Reason Gaming in the future. |

SGL Pro Series : cZar.uk lose in a close match with coda |
 |
|
Tonight cZar.uk played their second match of the SGL pro league season against a team we know well, coda.
There was a lot of hype going into this match, with 4 coda players having played with some of us in strOng~.
We weren't helped by punt's pc dieing this morning, meaning he was stuck using a laptop and block head models (not making excuses!).
After a convincing 9-6 CT lead and some early T rounds it was looking like we would take the match, but our lack of teamwork and some good awping gave them the win.
cZar lineup: esm, spK, rimm3r, matz, punt
coda lineup:blacky, murdy, dolphin, dajo, kalleh |

SGL Pro Series: cZar.UK win debut game! |
 |
|
Earlier tonight cZar.uk made their debut in theSGL Proleague against the long standing team engine on mute.
Although only forming 2 days ago and being somewhat under prepared, we managed to come away with the victory!
A number of top site rushes and our inability to retake as CT lead to eom taking an early 9-6 lead. Although nuke is considered a CT map the few pcws what we've played together told us that the game was far from over. A strong T pistol and eco rounds put the score back to 9-9 with everything to play for. It was plain sailing from there as we easily picked up gun rounds ending with a 10-2 score, giving us a 16-11 win.
cZar lineup: esm, spK, rimm3r, matz, punt
eom lineup: smc, moon, robulus, dancemag, callisto |

cZar.UK with finalised lineup! |
 |
|
Well it's been a messy few weeks, following the pickup of 2 new faces personal issues have meant 2 members wouldn't be active enough to stay in the team. Pete "suntouch" Logan and Joe "duK" Nowicki have therefore left the team and we wish them luck with whatever they do!
With proleague fast approaching it was looking unlikely that we'd be participating, but last minute pickups mean we're back on track!
These new pickups are Daniel "punt" Dougherty, Matt "MatTzz" Jackson and Sean "sully" O'Sullivan.
We've been lucky to find such nice guys at this late stage, and things are looking up! The lineup is now:
Jimmy EvilScotsmaN Sumpter
Michael spK Man
Adrian rimm3r Spiller
Dan punt Dougherty
Matt MaTzz Jackson
Sean sully O'Sullivan
First match is tomorrow (tuesday) in our SGL proleauge debut against eom. |

One of the strongest Finnish Counter-Strike teams Roccat, announced that they have released Samu "plastE" Aalto. Roccat captain Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen told gotfrag.com:

Zboard lives again! |
 |
 |
| zas |
| 10/04/08 at 07:00 |
|
ZBoard is back on track. The famous organisation has picked up the Vii team, and made one roster change in the process.
Hamza 'X' Mahmood has been replaced by Ben "Ben0" Balcombe. Reasons cited by David "jafro" Davison included inconsistency, and Ben0 wanting to come back into the lineup full time.
Statement from JaFro:
It's good to be back with Team-Zboard after the CGS, it never felt right leaving beno and fatal after having such a good tournament, but good as the UK scene is change happens and sometimes not for the best. After playing with drazah, bukio and fatal in ondskan, metamorphosis and recently Vii we noticed there was potential in the team, unfortunately things didn't work out with X and beno has become active and fully into source again so it only seemd right that we went back to zboard with what we feel is a team that is head and heels over our CGS lineup as the team has played with eachother for so long. We feel this team has alot more potential than our last CGS lineup as it has gone from being a mix of five good players to a team which doesn't rip eachothers heads off.
We will be attending LAN's once we feel we are ready, which will include i34 however we are unsure whether we will be attending CGS as it could conflict with a sponsorship deal we have lined up.
Statement from Ben0:
Thought i'd get back into the game after my extremely brief comeback with Ebuyer, aside from that i've been out since CGS. Anyway I started getting the old urges back since i've got 2 weeks off from work and thought i'd use this time to sort something out since i'm not the doser i once was, with full time work and rugby comitments! I thought I can't go to wrong with the core of the Zboard i31/CGS lineup along with two upcoming players, lets see how it goes!
ZBoard roster is now like:
Kyle 'fatal' Mardel
Callum 'drazah' Barratt
David 'jafro' Davison
Jonathon 'bukio' Cartwright
Ben 'Ben0' Balcombe |

Mibr with some changes |

| zas |

|

Few days ago the Brazilian team Made In Brazil [mibr] announced the retirement of Carlos ''KIKOOO'' Segal.
Even though Carlos has decided to quit several times before, this time he confirmed this is his final decision and that he has to move on with his life. Reason for his retirement is the lack of motivation, though he also mentioned that he wants to focus more on his studies.
The Brazilian star leaves the scene with a successful career. The biggest accomplishments for him are 1st place at ESWC 2006 and 2nd place at WCG 2006 Pan American Games.
MIBR already announced a replacement for KIKOOO and that would be Bruno ''bit'' Lima.
The new MIBR lineup looks following:
Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Bruno "bruno" Ono
Renato "nak" Nakano
Raphael "cogu" Camargo
Bruno "bit" Lima
We wish best of luck to MIBR and we hope that they will accomplish their goals with the new line-up in the future.

TheLastResot have announced a new CS:S Team after they realeased their former. They picked up Animate which has finnished top 8 at the i33 LAN.
TLR CSS:
Jon "Jont" Ellis-Jones
Harry "Goose" Latham
Mark "Ewaf" Porter
Oliver "Fym" Ormson
Edward "Silly" Knowles
Matthew "Carrel" Carrel
Statement from Michael "Chef" Robinson:
After poor results at IG5 and i33 , I and the management felt that we needed to make changes within the Counter-Strike: Source area of TLR. Today we annouce with great pleasure the addition of the Animate CSS team. This team is a long standing team with a history of good results, both online and at lan events. This team has great potential and we feel they can be one of the top teams in Europe,
Statement from Jon "Jont" Ellis-Jones:
We are grateful for the opportunity to represent TLR in Counter-Strike Source and we'd like to thank the management for chosing our team over the other squads that applied. Despite temptations from other parties, I knew that The Last Resort was the right choice for my players." He continued, "We look forward to continuing the same strong form that we have shown at previous i-series competitions with the aid of our new organisation." Finally, Jones finished off saying, " I'd also like to extend my gratitude to 'sirmick' and 'Voodou' of Animate Gaming, who were excellent throughout our time there and understanding of our departure. Good luck in whatever they persue next.

The Chatrix DTS-Cup 2008 took place this past weekend in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. Several international top teams were gathered to show some effort and compete for the $6,000 in prize purse.
HellRaisers has been surprising during this event after a first placement on the KODE5 Ukraine Regional Finals last week. Both Finnish teams Roccat and Excello were sent home early after loosing their games in the group stage. Hoorai, however, succeeded to the single elimination bracket but was likewise beaten in the quarter finals by HellRaisers.
HellRaisers team consisted of these players:
valentinich
markeloff
bastaa
Johnta
ANGE1
HellRaisers has now made a name for themselves and hopefully we'll be seeing the team in future, playing at a professional level with other well-known teams. Their next event will be the KODE5 Grand Finals in Moscow, Russia next month.
HellRaiser's way through DTS Cup 2008:
vs. Turbo (16-12)
vs. EYESports (16-13)

DTS-CUP 2008 with hot teams |

 |
| zas |
| 09/04/08 at 05:27 |
|

Today the DTS Cup 2008 is set to go off in Chatrix Club in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. Between April the 5th-6th top teams will be battling in Counter-Strike 1.6 where the winners get a prize purse of $3,000, while the total prize pool is $6,300.
The two most known teams from Finland, excello and roccat, will be playing against teams such as Amazing Gaming that recently lost the grand final against HellRaisers in the KODE5-qualifier. More to it, hoorai from Germany will pay the event a visit and even EYESports from Russia.
Hopefully the old Russian Begrip team that is currently playing under the EYESports tag, will show some efficiency during this event.
Team roccat that emplaced themselves on a 5th-6th position in Extreme Masters II shouldn't have any problems against excello that, unfortunately, haven't performed well during the ESL tournament. The Russian team forZe wasn't invited, but will be playing the tournament anyway.

cZar in Enemydown action tonight! |

Tonight sees the end of cZar.uk's Enemydown Resurrection campaign. Following a loss to Team-Coolermaster we are left with a 3rd/4th playoff against the team Faction, formerly BHK.
This match has added importance as the 3rd placed clan earns £250 while the 4th placed goes away with nothing.
Sadly it looks like the Chinese superstar Spk has to attend his nans birthday party so he can't make it, therefore we'll be shipping in ex member and clan friendly guy spaNky.
The match format is best of 3, with both teams eliminating and then choosing their chosen map.

Quote:| For any of the teams that haven't already been approached individually by Blizzard over the past 48 hours you should note that the first fixtures in theSGLPro series will start NEXT Tuesday, the 8th of April. This is down to a combination of some teams suffering from a LAN "hangover" from the weekend and further teams who have still not completed their full payment. |
This means team cZar.uk will be competiting in our first match, against #Team-coolermaster, on de_inferno. As cZar's biggest rivals we will accept nothing less then a victory in this matchup.
Their is a Cash Prize and we are extremely eager to win it.
